Don’t do diabetes alone.

Do you have diabetes? Love someone with diabetes? Curious to know more about diabetes? I’m here to help.

My name is Allison Nimlos, I am a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and a licensed therapist. I have had type 1 diabetes for nearly 30 years. Over the past two decades, I have worked in a variety of ways to help support and educate people about how to live with diabetes, both physically and emotionally.

Helping people with diabetes (or those who care about them) is a complex, multifaceted issue. We have to focus on management tools, decision-making strategies and behavioral changes. We also have to include mental health, psychosocial issues, relationship concerns, family dynamics, burnout, and a cornucopia of thoughts and emotions.

Learning how to live with diabetes is more than just a “food + insulin” equation. There’s a lot more to it than that.

This newsletter aims to cover all of this, and probably even more.

Paid subscriptions:

Every other newsletter is a paid subscriber only newsletter. Eventually paid subscribers will also get live Q&A chats with me, where you can ask any question you want about diabetes! You can become a paid subscriber for $1/month or $10 a year.

Subscribing also shows that you value my content and appreciate what I have offered to the community for free.

Here. Or there.

You can read the newsletter here, like a blog, or you can subscribe so that it goes to your inbox.
